Poor roads in Bull Valley

Published: Wednesday, April 16, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

I read the article in the paper about the village of Bull Valley and all the excuses as to why its roads do not get the attention that they need.

Why do they keep putting up signs (which cost money) and annexing more land when they cannot maintain the roads? The parts of Crystal Springs Road which are supposed to be maintained by the village of Bull Valley are a complete disaster. It is dangerous to even drive on them because they are so uneven, and the potholes take up the whole road.

The portion of the road near Red Barn Road and Colonel Holcomb is by far the worst. This road has been this way for at least eight to 10 years and has been patched many times over. Alternate routes are found whenever it is possible.

I am so tired of seeing village of Bull Valley signs everywhere as it just means more roads that will not be maintained in our area.
