Used book sale to benefit library programs, projects

McHENRY – Hundreds of hardcover, paperback and audio books will be on sale at the McHenry Public Library's Spring Used Book Sale.

The sale will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 26, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27. Sunday will feature a $5 bag sale.

A special Friends of the McHenry Public Library member’s pre-sale on Thursday, April 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. Members must have joined on or before March 31 to attend.

Those that join the Friends organization the day of the public sale will have their name entered in a drawing for a Village Squire restaurant gift card.

The sale will be held in the library’s warehouse. Park in the north lot and use Entrance B towards the rear of the building. The library is located at 809 N. Front St.

The cost to bring in a barcode scanner will be $10 fee. No scanners are allowed at the pre-sale.

Proceeds from the sale help fund programs and projects that benefit the library’s patrons.
