HUNTLEY – A Huntley man was taken to the hospital after falling off a ladder Thursday afternoon, a fire official said.

The Huntley Fire Protection District responded to Muir Drive around 5 p.m., Lt. Steve Young said.

Flight For Life was called but canceled because the man was up and walking around when crews arrived, he said. He was taken to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The man was helping a neighbor when he fell, Young said.
