Bark fest scheduled in Cary

The Cary Park District has scheduled a Bark Fest at the dog park in Hoffman Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.

The event is open to both dog park pass holders and non-pass holders, according to a park district news release.

A variety of pet-related businesses, rescue groups and shelters from around the community, also are scheduled to be in attendance.

Dog food and blankets will be collected at the event to help animals in need. Items will be donated to local shelters and rescue groups, the park district said.

The dog park is in Hoffman Park on West Main Street. From Route 14 head south on Cary-Algonquin Road to West Main Street. Then, turn west on West Main Street. Follow West Main Street until it ends at the parking lot access point.
