SPRING GROVE – With Memorial Day approaching, the Spring Grove Police Department will be ramping up its seat belt enforcement.

The crackdown is part of a larger, nationwide “Click It or Ticket” campaign that runs May 19 through June 1.

Wearing seat belts can help protect people during car accidents, Police Chief Thomas Sanders said in a news release.

“There are too many people dying on the roads, and many of those deaths could have been prevented if people took the simple step of wearing their seat belt,” he said.
