HARVARD – The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is holding a nature hike at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Wicker Conservation Area, 19716 Crowley Road, Harvard.

Dave Brandt will take hikers on a tour of the grassland, woodland and wetland habitats on this 14-acre private conservation property.

The owner chose to permanently restrict development of the land by donating a conservation easement to TLC in 2003. The program is free, but registration is required.

To register, contact Brandt at davebrandt00@gmail.com or TLC’s office at 815-337-9502.

TLC is a local nonprofit that works with individuals and communities to preserve and restore natural, scenic and agricultural land in McHenry County. For information, visit www.conservemc.org.
