Published: Monday, May 12, 2014 11:03 a.m. CST

PORT BARRINGTON – Wauconda firefighters are still investigating the cause of a fire that left $150,000 in damages to a two-story home in Port Barrington on Saturday.

Firefighters contained the blaze within 45 minutes after the Wauconda Fire District received a report at 3:46 p.m., Saturday, of a house on fire in the 100 block of Eastwood Ave., in Port Barrington.

The Wauconda department requested area assistance for more manpower and water since no fire hydrants were near the home. Departments from Countryside, Lake Zurich, Cary, Nunda, McHenry, Fox River Grove, Barrington, Grayslake, Fox Lake, Long Grove, Palatine, Algonquin and the McHenry County Sheriff all assisted.

No one was injured in the fire.
