Woodstock man charged with predatory sexual assault
WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock man was charged Thursday with six counts of predatory criminal sexual assault against a family member.
Jose J. Vega, 26, of 321 Hoy Ave., was arrested Thursday by Woodstock Police who believe he committed numerous sexual assaults on a family member between October 2008 and April 2013. All six charges are Class X felonies each punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
Woodstock Police opened an initial investigation into the matter on April 17 and received assistance from the McHenry County State's Attorney Office, the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services and the Woodstock Child Advocacy Center.
Vega was taken to the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility where he is being held without bail.
