WOODSTOCK – A 19-year-old Woodstock man was charged Wednesday with child pornography after police said he sent a nude photo of a female minor to others with his cell phone.

Family of the minor contacted Woodstock police on May 3 after they received a copy of the photograph, which had handwritten derogatory comments on it, Deputy Chief John Lieb said.

After completing an investigation, Woodstock police charged Jordan T. Chudnow, 19, 555 W. Jackson St., with child pornography, a Class One felony.

Chudnow remains in the McHenry County Jail on $30,000 bond. He's due in court Monday.

Woodstock police also encourages parents to talk with their children about the consequences of "sexting," an increasing issue among teenagers, Lieb said.
