CRYSTAL LAKE –The Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation awarded a Professional Engineer license to Christopher Allen, a Baxter & Woodman Inc. Resident Project Representative.

Graduates of the approved engineering curriculum must have a minimum of four years’ experience in engineering and pass two eight-hour written exams in the fundamentals, principles and practice of engineering to earn the license to practice professional engineering in Illinois, according to a news release.

Allen joined Baxter & Woodman in 2008 as an intern while pursuing his degree in civil engineering. He currently provides construction management services on transportation projects.

“Our congratulations go out to Chris for achieving this milestone,” Baxter & Woodman Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Louis Haussmann said. “Our organization’s strength stems from our staff, and we actively support their professional development and continued education.”

Allen is based out of the company’s Crystal Lake office.
