RINGWOOD – Ice cream, lemonade and old-time games will be among the activities at an ice cream social coming up at the historic Powers-Walker House.

Volunteers in period dress will also help recreate the feel of an 1858 ice cream social noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the home, which is located in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road in Ringwood.

Various historical characters will stop by to tell stories about their lives, including a cavalryman and his horse heading off to defend the frontier.

Registration is not required.
