A look at this week’s major votes in Congress and how those who represent McHenry County voted:

USA Freedom Act

The purpose: To restrict the National Security Agency’s ability to collect records about Americans in bulk.

The vote: Passed in the House on Wednesday by 90 votes – 303 voted “yes,” 121 voted “no” and eight didn’t vote.

Local representation: U.S. Reps. Peter Roskam (R-6) and Randy Hultgren (R-14) voted “yes.”
