MCCD offers bike safety clinic in CL

CRYSTAL LAKE – The McHenry County Conservation District’s annual Safe Kids Wear Lids bike safety clinic will be from 10 a.m. to noon June 14 at the Main Street north parking lot for the Prairie Trail in Crystal Lake. Staff will perform bike inspections, discuss safety tips for bike riding and go over the rules of the road. Helmets can be checked for a safe fit, and those that don’t have one can get one for free. This event is for children ages 5 to 12 accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is required for this free program and may be completed online at www.MCCDistirct.org, by phone at 815-479-5779, by mail and walk-in at Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake, or walk-in only at Lost Valley Visitor Center, Route 31 and Harts Road in Ringwood.
