ALGONQUIN – A fire in an abandoned house at 370 Glenwood Court is under investigation, according to the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District.

About 12:30 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were called by a neighbor, and found smoke and flames coming from the roof and rear of the single-story house.

The house has been vacant since two previous fires that caused extensive damage in 2012 and 2013, according to a news release. No one was hurt, the fire district said. Crews were on scene until 4:30 a.m. Firefighters from Huntley, Carpentersville, Crystal Lake, East Dundee, Fox River Grove, Cary, Nunda Township, Elgin, Rutland-Dundee and Barrington-Countryside assisted on the call.
