Generous support

To the Editor:

Last month at Hannah Beardsley Middle School, we held our annual Honor Roll Breakfast. More than 700 students were rewarded for their achievements in academics with breakfast foods and raffle prizes.

Without the support of local businesses and HBMS families, this would not have been possible.

Every student received several coupons for free items and had a chance to win gift certificates and prizes generously donated by our wonderful parents and these organizations and businesses: Buffalo Wild Wings, Chicago Bears, Chick-fil-A, Chili’s, Colonial Cafe, Country Donuts, Culvers, Dean Illinois Dairies, Elite Kids, Crystal Ice House, Jersey Mike’s, Jimmy Johns, Julie Ann’s Frozen Custard, Kaleidoscoops, McDonalds, Nick’s Pizza & Pub, Noodles and Company, North Wall Rock Climbing Gym, Crystal Lake Rib House, Riverside Chocolates, Rosati’s Pizza, Sage YMCA, Sam’s Club, Subway, Taco Bell, TOBG Engraving, Inc., Think Ink, Xtreme Wheels Roller Skating and Family Fun Center, Village Squire, Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt, Wendy’s and our fantastic mystery donor (you are amazing and we cannot thank you enough for your extremely generous donations every year).

An extra special thank you goes to our master of ceremonies’ extraordinaire at HBMS events for 18 years, Principal Ron Ludwig, who through the years has made the HBMS Honor Roll Breakfast a fantastic celebration of academic excellence.

And congratulations to our honor roll students, you really made the grade!
