McHenry’s Jesse Reiser became the first boys state champion in school history.

The junior won the Class 3A 3,200 at the IHSA boys track an field state meet Saturday with a time of 9:03.60.

On Friday, Reiser won his 1,600 heat with a time of 4:16.60. He will run in the finals of that event later today.
