MARENGO – A Cary man was taken by Flight for Life to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville after his motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck just west of Marengo, a fire official said.

The accident took place at Route 20 and Meyer Road about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Marengo Fire Protection District Captain John Kimmel said.

The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured, and the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, Kimmel said.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office handled the accident and was unable to provide additional information Sunday evening.
