McHENRY – Two accidents Sunday evening occurring within minutes of each other sent four people to the hospital with injuries that were nonlife-threatening.

One accident involving a motorcycle took place on Rand Road near Tia Juana Drive in Lakemoor about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, McHenry Township Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Joe Krueger said.

Both people on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital, Krueger said.

The Lakemoor Police Department could not provide any additional information on the accident Sunday evening.

A two-vehicle accident followed at the intersection of Bull Valley Road and Crystal Lake Road about 10 minutes later when a vehicle traveling westbound on Bull Valley turned left in front of an eastbound vehicle, McHenry Police Officer Brian Aalto said

Two passengers from the eastbound vehicle – one in the front seat and the other in the rear on the driver’s side – were taken to the hospital, Aalto said.

The driver of the westbound vehicle was issued a citation for failing to yield, he said.

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District, which covered both accidents, was assisted by departments from Spring Grove, Wonder Lake and Wauconda.
