To the Editor:
There has been a lot said in the news about VA issues, all negative. I have been going to the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago since the early 1990s. I also have been going to the McHenry County VA Outpatient Clinic during that time. I want to say the care and treatment I have gotten has been exceptional. The people who work at the McHenry clinic are the best. The doctors and nurses are outstanding. They are very dedicated men and women. The North Chicago hospital is a state of the art facility, having the modern equipment and a great staff.
The only senator or congressman I know of who has a lot to do with the VA is Sen. Mark Kirk.
To make an appointment, my wait time has never been more than two weeks to get in.
What I’d like all you veterans to do is write letters to the newspaper, call your representatives, tell everyone about your clinic and North Chicago VA hospital. Let’s hear good news. Thank the dedicated people who care for you and/or your loved ones.
