CRYSTAL LAKE – Legat Architects has named Jay Johnson, AIA, a firm principal.

“Jay’s appointment to principal is a perfect accompaniment to our 50th anniversary celebration this year,” Legat President and CEO Patrick Brosnan said in a news release. “His personal values align with the firm’s focus on clients, employees, quality, sustainable design and efficiency. Our clients value Jay for his ability to coordinate complex projects, while our employees appreciate him for his ability to lead and mentor.”

Johnson’s 21-year tenure with Legat includes projects ranging from studies and renovations to campuswide enhancements and major new facilities.

For the past five years, Johnson has served as Legat’s project executive for redevelopment and expansion projects at the College of DuPage.

Legat Architects has offices in Crystal Lake, Chicago, Moline, Oak Brook, Waukegan and a joint venture firm in Columbus, Ohio.
