Narcotics equipment found in Chicago store

CHICAGO – Chicago police arrested a Hoffman Estates man after officers spotted narcotics equipment for sale at his store on the city’s West Side.

Police said 44-year-old Bruce Kim was working behind the counter on Monday afternoon when officers recovered $60,000 worth of equipment used by narcotics dealers – including digital scales, measuring spoons, baggies and a cutting agent used to mix narcotics.

Kim was arrested on felony controlled substance possession charges. He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney and a message seeking comment at his home was not immediately returned.
