WOODSTOCK – A McHenry man was sentenced to eight years in prison for possessing and reproducing child pornography.

Jeffrey A. Good pleaded guilty Thursday as part of an agreement approved by McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather. In exchange for his guilty plea to a Class X felony, remaining child pornography charges against him were dropped.

Good, prosecutors said, possessed a pornographic video depicting what he knew, or should have reasonably known, was a young girl engaged in sex acts with a man.

After downloading the video, the 61-year-old Good then copied it, Assistant State’s Attorney Sharyl Eisenstein said.

Good will receive credit for time served in McHenry County Jail from Dec. 30, 2013, to June 12. He has been held there in lieu of $100,000 bond.

He also must pay a $1,000 fine and register as a sex offender upon his release.
