McHenry to offer water polo classes

McHENRY – Water polo classes and club teams will be starting next week.

The McHenry Parks and Recreation Department will offer a six-week instructional water polo course for sixth- through 12th-graders starting Monday, June 16, and Club Water Polo for those 15 and up starting Wednesday, June 18.

Both programs will be held at Merkel Aquatic Center, 333 S. Green St. in McHenry.

Classes meet 8:30 to 10 p.m. each evening, and is open to new players who would like to learn the sport.

Club is open to experienced players at or above the high school level.

Each program costs $30 for residents and $35 for non-residents. Registration is required.
