Cary-Grove grad Kelly McCoy finished tied for 19th place in the high jump at the NCAA Division I Women’s Track and Field Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

McCoy, a junior at Iowa State University, advanced through the first progression with a jump of 5 feet, 7¾ inches, but finished with that jump after three failed attempts at the next progression 5-9¾.

The jump would have tied McCoy’s personal record, and the height she jumped to qualify for Nationals with at the West Regional in Fayetteville, Ark.
