McHENRY – Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 1700 N. Richmond Road, McHenry, has reopened after being remodeled.

The interior remodeling project included removing pop-culture artifacts, adding local photos, murals and wall images that depict school sports teams. It also has new food and drink selections, according to a news release from Lincoln, Nebraska-based owner and operator RMH Franchise Corp.

“Applebee’s is breathing new life into our restaurants, giving them stronger connections to their individual neighborhoods and providing our guests with renewed experiences,” Katie Pino, director of operations for the McHenry area, said in the news release.

As part of the remodel process, Applebee’s auctioned off the older décor and memorabilia. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois, according to the news release.

Applebee’s has about 2,000 restaurants in 49 states, 16 countries and one U.S. territory.
