If you have experienced tooth loss, you are not alone. According to the American Dental Association, more than 20 million people in the United States are missing all of their natural teeth, and more than 100 million are missing 11-15 teeth.

Dental implants offer a solution.

For those individuals missing a single tooth, an implant and crown can replace it. Implants have the advantage of not affecting adjacent teeth like a bridge, which requires adjacent teeth to be ground down in order to affix the bridge.

First, your dentist will place a metal implant post, which looks like a screw, into your jaw. The implant and surrounding bone are allowed to bond over a period of about a couple of months. Then a crown is attached to the implant post.

For those missing all their teeth, implant supported dentures are a superior alternative to dentures. A denture sits on top of the gums and is held in place with adhesive. But implant-supported dentures snap onto several implants that have been placed in the jaw. Implant supported dentures are more comfortable, hold more firmly, and can be removed for cleaning.

Implant-supported dentures offer a lifestyle improvement and allow you to eat the foods you enjoy. Implants do more than just restore teeth; they restore beautiful, confident smiles. With the advantages of natural teeth, implant dentistry is the most advanced therapy available to replace missing teeth. In addition to looking good and feeling like real teeth, dental implants may allow you to:

●       Improve your smile

●       Eat foods you enjoy

●       Restore chewing for easy digestion

●       Speak with greater ease

●       Restore your facial structure

●       Enjoy an active lifestyle

●       Live with confidence
