CRYSTAL LAKE – Drivers in Crystal Lake should be on the lookout this weekend for temporary road closures and changing traffic patterns because of several area events, police warned Friday.

The city this weekend hosts a charity motorcycle ride along Route 14, a downtown "Beatles Blast" event, a 5K run at McHenry County College, a religious parade along Oak Street, and a triathlon between Route 14, Pingree, Virginia and Rakow roads.

Crystal Lake police urge motorists to use safe driving habits during the weekend festivities, as traffic patterns will change rapidly.
