Historical society thanks

To the Editor:

The McHenry County Historical Society thanks Dave Wilcox of Wilcox Tool & Engineering in Union, as well as Mike Donley of Donley’s Wild West Town for their help in securing two large display cases for the county museum.

Mike and his father, Larry, donated two glass cases to us and helped in arranging transportation from their facility into our main exhibition hall. Dave and his son, Conner, donated their time and the forklift necessary to lift the heavy cases up and on to our stage. Dave and an employee, John, also cleaned off our farm wagon in preparation for the annual Heritage Day auction at 10 a.m. July 13.

Without such support, your county historical society would flounder. Thanks to them and our many other volunteers who make this local nonprofit organization possible.
