To the Editor:
I must applaud Joseph Monack ("Term down for what?", June 18) for voicing the opposition to term limits so well.
For incompetence in government by beginers, one can look no further than the U.S. House of Representatives. These newcomers, who don't have a clue about governing, are willing to
let the U.S. default on its bills and plunge the world's financial markets into chaos. Also, term limits put corruption in office on the fast track.
We already have a system in place to control time in office. If you don't like your representative, vote him or her out of office. Term limits is a lazy, bad and dangerous solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
