Island Lake to host concert in park

ISLAND LAKE – An upcoming concert in the park will feature a horn band playing Motown, R&B and soul tunes from the '60s, '70s and '80s.

The cover band Brass From The Past has a six-piece horn section, a four-piece rhythm section and three singers. It will perform starting at 7 p.m. July 11 at Converse Park, 551 E. State Road, also known as Route 176 in Island Lake.

Attendees can bring chairs and their own refreshments.
