McHENRY – The British invasion is headed to the McHenry Public Library.

Two Beatles-related events will give attendees the opportunity to win one of several "Second Time Around" Beatles door prizes.  Both programs are free and require registration.

A Beatles tribute band, "Beatolution," will perform from 2 to 3 p.m. July 13 at the library, located at 809 N. Front St., McHenry.

The group won first place in the Battle of the Beatles Bands at Chicago’s Fest for Beatles fans in both 2006 and 2007, then known as Stockwood.

This family program is suitable for adults, teens and families with older children, ages 8 and up. Children cannot be unaccompanied.

The Summer Sunday Concert Series is funded by the Friends of the McHenry Public Library.

The classic G-rated Beatles movie "The Yellow Submarine" will be shown from 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 22.

This animated film features all the Beatles songs from the soundtrack, including "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Nowhere Man."

The showing is for adults and children 10 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

For information about summer programs or to register, check out the library’s online events calendar at www.mchenrylibrary.org or call the library at 815-385-0036.
