Cancer survivor thanks

To the Editor:

There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Cancer Survivor’s Day tribute, put on by the Sage Cancer Center, would be a success.

Not only do they know how to treat patients with a high rate of success, they sure know how to throw a party honoring all who have survived this dreaded disease. The type of cancer one has does not matter, they all are spelled with a “c”.

Thank you to all who were involved in the planning of this event. Not only was this tribute humbling to all who have gone through the doors at the Sage Cancer Center, but the thought, preparation and effort that went into this event with all the wonderful food, great entertainment, dress-up photo booth, raffle and many other activities made for an outstanding day.

Although this day was to honor survivors, a special thank you to the families of those who did not survive. Your loved ones have paved the way for further research that will go above and beyond in the fight against cancer. What they left behind is priceless.

And a special thanks to two of the greatest nurses I have ever had, Mary and Amy.
