Congressional candidate to hold McHenry town hall

Published: Thursday, July 3, 2014 3:54 p.m. CST

Dennis Anderson, the Democratic candidate for the 14th Congressional District, is holding a town hall meeting next week in McHenry.

The meeting will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the McHenry Public Library, 809 Front St.

Anderson, of Gurnee, is running against incumbent Republican Rep. Randy Hultgren, of Batavia. Wednesday's town hall will be the seventh Anderson has held in the sprawling district that loops through the collar counties.

Huntley will be an upcoming stop for Anderson's town hall meetings, but it has not yet been scheduled.

The 14th District, which was redrawn after the 2010 U.S. Census, covers all of McHenry County except for Algonquin Township, which is part of the 6th District represented by Republican Peter Roskam.
