CRYSTAL LAKE – Fourteen Texas Roadhouse restaurants in Illinois, including the recently opened Crystal Lake restaurant, are teaming up with law enforcement officers for a benefit lunch July 25 for Special Olympics Illinois.

Local officers will serve a “free” lunch of a limited menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Diners are asked to leave a donation at their table, all of which will benefit the nearly 21,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 18,500 Young Athletes (ages 2-7) of Special Olympics Illinois, according to a news release.

The Crystal Lake restaurant at 835 Cog Circle is participating.
