Three people injured in two Cary crashes

CARY — Three people were transported to the hospital after two separate crashes at one intersection in Cary occurred within 20 minutes of each other Friday morning, according to the Cary Police Department.

The first crash, at 6:45 a.m., involved a pick-up truck and SUV headed westbound on Route 14, and resulted in two people being transported by ambulance, Sgt. Scott Naydenoff said.

The second, at 7:05 a.m., involved two eastbound vehicles, Naydenoff said. The crash occurred kitty-corner and across the intersection from the first. One person was tranported to the hospital.

No further information regarding the individuals' conditions was immediately available.
