CRYSTAL LAKE — A motorist driving with a suspended license was arrested after being involved in a minor Crystal Lake crash Tuesday morning, police said.

Around 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Katie Burton, 31, of Elgin, rear-ended Paula Hutson, 37, of Crystal Lake going northbound on Randall Road near Ackman Road, Crystal Lake Police Cmdr. Tom Kretschmer said.

Found to have had a warrant out for failure to appear, Burton was subsequently arrested and cited for driving with a suspended license. She was also given a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision, Kretschmer said.

He said he believed Burton posted bond and was released as of 11:30 a.m.

There were no injuries or reports of damage, Kretschmer said.
