To the Editor:
You may have noticed that when using the Route 47-Interstate 90 on-off ramps, no toll payment is accepted other than with an I-Pass.
Should a person be from out of state or use the toll roads so infrequently as to justify getting an I-Pass, he must pay a penalty, as well as go through excessive procedures when that interchange is used.
Why is there not a coin payment terminal there? Who gives the tollway authority the power to dictate payment by only one method or be penalized by both monetary and time wasting constraints? Is this situation legal?
Certainly hundreds of citizens are being victimized by this unfair, punitive and unreasonable policy. To require an I-Pass or be penalized is nothing short of extortion.

Tell them that giving motorists no choices and then penalizing them is unacceptable.
