Two men charged with burglary, trespass in Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE – Two men face multiple criminal charges after they allegedly burglarized several vehicles within a Crystal Lake neighborhood, police said Saturday.

Robert A. Fleenor, 21, of Lake in the Hills was charged Friday with burglary, a Class Two felony, and criminal trespass to a vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor. Ryan N. Vette, 23, of Crystal Lake was charged with two counts of criminal trespass to a vehicle, and one count of burglary.

Crystal Lake police saw both men at 3:50 a.m., Friday morning approach several parked vehicles in driveways near the 600 block of Greenbrier Lane. Believing the men were about to illegally enter the vehicles, police apprehended them, a news release said.

An investigation later revealed that several vehicles in the area had been entered and items stolen, police said. Wauconda Police's K-9 unit assisted with the investigation.

Both men remain in the McHenry County Jail, with individual bonds set at $4,000, according to the sheriff's website.
