CHICAGO – The White Sox said owner Jerry Reinsdorf was hospitalized, but has been released from the hospital, after feeling lightheaded in Cooperstown, New York.
The team said all tests Friday night indicated he was fine. The 78-year-old Reinsdorf, also chairman of the Bulls, was coherent and resting comfortably, according to the club.
In a statement released Friday night, the Sox said Reinsdorf was communicating with his doctors and medical staff. He stayed overnight at Bassett Medical Center as a precaution.
Induction ceremonies for the Baseball Hall of Fame are this weekend in Cooperstown.
