Yogurtland opens new store in Algonquin

ALGONQUIN – Yogurtland opened a new store Friday in Algonqiun.

The self-serve frozen yogurt shop, part of a global chain with more than 300 stores, opened at 432 S. Randall Road, near Meijer. The Algonquin store is operated by franchisee Frani Martino, a company spokeswoman said.

Like other self-serve frozen yogurt stores, Yogurtland offers a variety of sweet and tart yogurt flavors and a topping bar. Customers pay by the ounce and can choose from among 16 yogurt flavors, according to the company’s website.

Yogurtland aims to stand out with its team of “Flavorologists who develop the proprietary recipes for the brand’s more than 150 different and customized flavors.” Each flavor “uses real ingredients sourced from their original locations,” according to the company’s website.
