CRYSTAL LAKE – A Crystal Lake man has been arrested in connection with several residential and vehicle burglaries.

William R. Fisher, 21, of Crystal Lake was charged with two counts of residential burglary, Class 1 felonies, and seven counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, Class 2 felonies, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Crystal Lake police officers responded around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday to the 1400 block of Yosemite Circle to reports of a motor vehicle burglary in progress and saw a man entering a vehicle parked in a driveway.

They arrested the man, identified as Fisher, without incident, the release said.

An ongoing investigation revealed that several vehicles – all unlocked – and at least two residences in the area had been entered and items stolen, the release said. Additional charges may follow.

Fisher was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. Bond had not been set as of Wednesday afternoon.
