CRYSTAL LAKE – The Illinois Small Business Development Center at McHenry County College is offering a two-part workshop on brand strategy and brand development for small business owners.

Participants will learn how their brand is perceived by customers, how to read analytics to adjust their marketing plan and save money, how to attract ideal customers, and how to maintain a consistent brand image, according to a news release from the college

The first session will focus on brand strategy. Available dates for the workshop are from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 4.

The second session will focus on brand development. Available dates for the second session are from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 or from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 11.

The instructor for the branding workshops is Lauren Young, a two-time, award-winning author and the CEO and founder of Freshly Baked Communications of Crystal Lake. She will draw on her experience in brand management for Kraft Foods in the workshops.

The cost is $50 for both sessions. To register or for information, contact the ISBDC at 815-455-6098 or sbdc@mchenry.edu.
