WOODSTOCK – Police say two local juveniles – and a possible third who has since moved – are responsible for damage to 19 vehicles in early July.

The two local juveniles, who were 14 years old at the time of the incidents, will be referred to the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office and McHenry County Court Services for 19 counts of criminal damage to a motor vehicle and 19 counts of criminal trespass to motor vehicles.

The incidents happened in the late evening and early morning hours between July 7 and July 8 in the southwest and southeast quadrants of Woodstock, according to a news release from the Woodstock Police Department.

The suspects scratched the paint of the vehicles and damaged the soft top of a Jeep Wrangler, the release said. Two of the vehicles also were burglarized.

Police are seeking an interview with the third juvenile, who they believe has moved out of the state, according to the release.
