To the Editor:
On July 20, I participated in a bike race in my hometown of Crystal Lake. It was fantastic.
This event was fluid, well run and professional. The course was smooth and well marked, the security on the course was top notch, and the volunteers were excited and personable.
Afterward, I enjoyed dinner at The Cottage with cycling and noncycling friends. The Cottage did a great job providing an inviting atmosphere during and after the event.
I want to thank the hundreds of folks that came together in presenting one of the best events in the Midwest, reflecting our event diversity and pride, and representing us so well to the cycling community.
I am proud to call Crystal Lake my home.
