Antique appraisal event rescheduled for Aug. 16

CARY – An antique appraisal program at the Cary Area Public Library originally scheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 16, the library said.

Licensed appraiser, dealer and collector Karl Gates is scheduled to discuss antiques and collectibles, as well as evaluate items brought in by the audience, according to a news release from the library.

There is a limit of one item per person for appraisal. No stamps, coins or weapons will be appraised, the news release said. Registration is required.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, but had to be postponed, the news release said.
