MCCD releases fall lineup

CRYSTAL LAKE – Fort building, night hikes and bird watching are all activities the McHenry County Conservation District has lined up for the fall.

The district recently released details on its fall programs, which are available on its website,

Subscriptions to the seasonal magazine "Landscapes" are also available through the website.

Most of the programs hosted by the conservation district are free to county residents. There are offerings aimed at infants through teenagers as well as events designed for the whole family or grown-up nature enthusiasts.

Program registration is accepted online, by phone at 815-479-5779, mail or walk-in at Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake.
