Obvious Randall solution

To the Editor:

Finally the congested intersection of Routes 31 and 62 will relieved by the imminent opening of the western bypass.

The traffic volume on Randall Road is considerably higher at the intersection with the same Route 62 than at Route 31. The county’s plan proposes to add additional traffic lights as their solution to the congestion.

From Day One, it was obvious that the logical solution was to provide a two-lane overpass of Route 62 for through traffic. The bridge cost was found worthwhile for the bypass, therefore, even more so for Randall and Route 62.

The frontage road expense would then become redundant. Get village government and commercial store owner support. The don’t-bother-me-with-the-facts attitude is an insult to our intelligence.
