Two McHenry County men have been charged with solicitation of a sexual act after being arrested during a national crackdown on purchased sex, the Lake County Sheriff's Office announced Friday.
Matthew D. Boutwell, 39, of the 800 block of Blazing Star Trail in Cary, and Marc A. Findlay, 40, of the 700 block of Oriole Trail in McHenry, were charged with solicitation of a sexual act during a two-day operation July 16 and 17 in two Lake County hotels.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office made 13 arrests during the National Day of Johns undercover sting. The operation included 28 agencies in 14 states.
Solicitation of a sexual act is a Class B misdemeanor in Illinois.
