Border mismanagement

Published: Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

Our country is one of the most compassionate places on Earth when it comes to humanitarian cases.

Truly for the children who are coming by the thousands illegally over our border. It is tragic their parents have allowed them to take the trip with drug cartels and gangs. Our country cannot financially support this situation.

The children – some of whom don’t appear to be children – are given paperwork and told to come back for hearings. According to border control, 90 percent don’t come back. Now border control has 16 members of the MS-13 gang from El Salvador.

The individuals cannot be separated and are recruiting for gangs. They will be sent to cities near you, me and other good Americans who should not have to pay for government mismanagement of border.
