Williams Street Repertory’s Get Lit(erary) a Treat for the Community

Get Lit(erary), or “Get Lit” as it is often referred, is a reading series that takes place across from Raue Center at a small wine shop and café called Le Petit Marché.

Le Petit Marché sells lunches, dinners, wine, cheese, coffee, pastries and artisan breads all made in house, for purchase, during these readings that occur on the third Thursday of each month. This series, curated by the shop’s owner, Dawn Gerth, is open and free to the community, although space is limited.

“We have such fun presenting the readings; our patrons have a great time and provide us with excellent feedback; while the readers from WSR enjoy providing guests with engaging performances in a relaxed environment,” say Dawn Gerth Le Petit Marché owner and, herself, a WSR member.

The reading series, which encompasses all genres from short stories to novel excerpts to full and partial plays, is performed by members of Williams Street Repertory, Raue Center’s in-house theatre troupe.  The series is just one more way for the theatre to realize its overall goal of bringing arts into the surrounding community.

Get Lit(erary) is a free event of Williams Street Repertory in conjunction with Le Petit Marché and Raue Center For The Arts held at 19 N. Williams Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. For a list of events held at Le Petit Marché, or to join their mailing list, go direct to their website: .

This August’s Get Lit(erary) is to take place on 8/21 at 7:30PM at Le Petit Marché  located at 19 N. Williams Street, directly across from Raue Center’s Theater.  For all other Raue Center events, go to:
